WE are Gay Straight Alliance @ University High School.
We started about 2 months ago and we are 45 members strong!
We work to educate, advocate, and support the LGBT (and straight) community in Orlando, Florida!
And we are more than happy to say that more than half of our club members are straight Allies :’)
I am the president of my school’s Gay-Straight alliance. For ally week, we set up a table in our cafeteria where students could sign a pledge and have their photo taken. We thought that, this being our first year doing ally week, it wouldn’t be all that successful. we were wrong. In just four day, 123 people participated. This is a collage of those photographed.
Pretty stoked that Ally Week got an article on my school's website!
